For every 1 inch of wingspan you possess over your height, your standing reach increases by exactly 0.5 inches.
Since your required vertical jump is `(Rim Height + Clearance) - Standing Reach`, increasing your standing reach by 0.5 inches directly subtracts 0.5 inches from the vertical leap height you must generate. A player with a +4 inch wingspan has a standing reach that is 2 inches higher, requiring them to jump 2 inches less to reach the rim.
